This cute little hand-blocked crown with it’s asymmetric point is a simple yet stylish detail that is very typical of this era, trimmed in a petersham ribbon  and adorned with a small fan and bow detail in the same making this hat reminiscent of a little pixie Hat!

As this style of hat sits at an angle on the head the split brim is designed to dip slightly over one eye and gently curves towards the back where it overlaps at the back ending with two elegantly shaped points.

This example hat has been made from black fine weave straw with a contrasting jade petersham ribbon hatband and detailing creating a very striking summer hat!
