Lilly Lewis Millinery Specialises In Vintage Inspired Hats, Fascinators And Bridal Head Pieces
From an early age, Jen Lewis was never happier than when elbow deep in glitter and glue; she still recalls reaching for the pots of powdered paint in the under-stairs cupboard, full of excitement to be starting yet another project. And, to be quite honest, not a lot has changed since.
However, it was in 1991, at the age of ten, that Jen was introduced to the period in which she felt most at home. The BBC was showing ‘The House of Elliott’, a drama set in London in the nineteen twenties, about two sisters starting a fashion house.
That was it: Jen’s fascination with twentieth century fashion had begun.
On the journey to becoming a milliner, Jen dabbled in many areas of fashion; pattern drafting, printing, and corset-making. Whilst working with vintage clothing, Jen discovered the wonderful world of millinery.
In 2008, after enjoying making hats as a hobby for a few years, Jen decided to take the plunge and become a self employed milliner; thus ‘Lilly Lewis’ was established. By the autumn of the same year, Lilly Lewis designs were stocking the shelves of Topshop’s UK flagship store. And for the next four years this was to grow to include stores around the world.
But, what Jen truly loves, is creating beautiful pieces for discerning clients…….such as yourself. Please feel free to get in touch with any queries or for more information.
